How to Create a School Safety Team

Kids deserve safe ways to get to and from school, but if you’ve been around a school during drop off or pick up in Alameda, it can feel anything but safe. Creating safe drop off and pick up procedures falls on school administrators, who are already busy with all of the other aspects of running a high quality, safe school. That’s where PTA/PTSAs can jump in to drive and support school safety initiatives at school.

This guide aims to help volunteers and PTA members build and create a safety program that ensures kids get to school safely all while making it fun.
