Request Nominations from Teachers

This message is usually sent 1.5 months prior to the end of the school year.

Hello <3/4th> grade teachers!

My name is <name>. I am a parent volunteer who leads the drop off safety team at the school.

As we are in the last few months of school, we are gearing up for next year and getting our team ready.

You know your students better than I do, so if you have a student that strives to model the 4B’s and would be a great volunteer on our team, please speak to them and see if they would be interested in joining. We only accept students who have been nominated by their teachers, so it truly is an honor! Ideally we are looking for  <#> of students to join from each class.

Can you please email me a list of your interested students when you have it? It would be ideal if I have your list by <date/time> so I can coordinate the informational meeting during lunch time (we will provide pizza)  where students will learn about the role, expectations, and required permission slips. We plan on hosting this meeting in about 2 weeks.

Students will practice a few times in the last couple of weeks of school so they are ready for next year.

Feel free to call or text at <date/time> if you need to speak with me directly or reply to this message with any additional questions.

Thank you for ALL you do!

Sincerely,

<name>

Group Text Message Introduction

Hello <day> Team! The adults on this team will be <names> . Please make sure your student arrives at the school by <time> so they have enough time to put their backpacks down and put on a safety vest. If you have any questions or if your student cannot make it to their shift (in the future), please text me anytime. I feel honored to work with this group of kids that their teacher nominated to be a part of this leadership team. Thank you for raising such responsible kiddos. –<Name>
