Bike Walk Alameda is asking city leaders to make safe streets and permanent West End transit options priorities in the city’s new transit and transportation demand management plans, and we’re asking you to join the chorus of voices supporting these changes.
The Posey Tube walkway will be closed for maintenance and servicing between Alameda and Oakland through August 2016.
For many years Bike Walk Alameda has teamed up with the folks at Alameda Backyard Chickens to encourage you to get out and bike around to the open visit chicken yards in the Alameda. The tour is on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting in May 2016, Oakland’s Embarcadero Bridge will be closed between Fifth Avenue and Oak Street, restricting travel along this popular bike corridor. The closure will remain for two years while the city removes the existing bridge and constructs a replacement, including continuous bike lanes on both sides and a multi-use path.
