The city has installed pedestrian warning lights in two locations. The warning lights are at the intersections of Pacific Avenue and Fourth Street (above) and at Park Street and San Antonio Avenue.
In May, the Alameda Peeps Facebook page took up the cause of safe streets for all by launching the Slow Down in Town campaign. Campaign co-founder Heather Little offers a quick explainer on the campaign.
We believe the City of Alameda and the City of Oakland should create real biking and walking options that exist between West Alameda and Oakland. A bicycle and pedestrian bridge is the only option that would provide 24×7, convenient, enjoyable and reliable access for everyone. Sign the petition!
