Our Map Got a Glow-Up ✨

Big news: we‘ve refreshed our Biking and Walking Map!

With our stash of printed maps running low—and a lot changing around Alameda since the last 2022 edition—we figured it was time for an update. And rather than rush another print run, we’re going digital (for now).

Why digital, you ask? A few good reasons:

  • New bike infrastructure is popping up all over the island in the next year or two
  • We want your feedback so we can keep improving it
  • And, honestly… we haven’t updated the back side (or lined up sponsors) yet 😅
(P.S. if your business wants to be on the next version, you know where to find us!)

We also timed this release just ahead of Bike to Wherever Day (May 14) so you can use it to plan your routes and explore with confidence.

So, what’s new?

  • Infrastructure: Improvements to the Cross Alameda Trail, Grand, Central, Pacific, and more!
  • New bikeway types: Buffered bike lanes, bi-directional bikeways, and the San Francisco Bay Trail all make appearances. We also added a designation of “Common Bike Route” to show routes that people commonly take where improved infrastructure is not available (use with that in mind!)
  • Less clutter: We trimmed the extras and some details to focus on getting around and spotlight what‘s on the ground now

Download it and enjoy!
