Three bike classes and a Rodeo in April and May

Want to feel safer biking on the road?  Take a short class.  You’ll feel more confident.

There are three upcoming classes in Alameda.  Plus if you feel like bringing the whole family you can have fun at the Alameda Bike Festival and Rodeo

Urban Cycling 101 Road Class

Attending one of our “Day 1” Urban Cycling 101: Classroom Workshops is normally a prerequisite to taking a Road Class.  However, if you can not make the classroom sessions and still want to sign up for a road class you can make alternate arrangements. (see link above)

Adults and Teens Learn-to-Ride Class

Alameda Bike Festival and Rodeo

Ruby Bridges Elementary School (351 Jack London Ave, Alameda)

9:30am-12:00pm: Family Cycling Clinic:

Parents and children attend together, both with their own bikes and helmets. For youth in grades 2-6. Everyone participates throughout the entire event. And free reflective vests for youth attendees!

10am-12pm: Learn to Ride Class:
We’ll help you get off training wheels, or learn how to ride a bicycle for the first time. Bring your bike, helmet, and a dash of courage – we’ll provide the rest.  One adult per family required, one adult per child recommended.  Bicycles and helmets required.
